I do not expect all people to be delighted in their visit to my world… my weblog; but everybody is welcome — even the most bitter of my detractors. I pray that my God may enlighten you to understand the world where I live in (Philippians 3:20)

“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ…”.

Let me give you an insight of the kind of world I consider my home. I have the same foresight as those who were once maltreated by the authorities of this world (Hebrew 11:13).

“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”

But, I enjoy journeying in this world seeking for my ‘countrymen’ in the world to come (2 Peter 3:13).

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

I hope that through the internet you may visit my world; and I pray to God that you may not only ‘google’ into it, but also ‘stumble’ upon it.

After 4 years of ‘travel’, using my feet, my jeepney, my cars, and my one and only bus, I found the fastest and the most convenient form of vehicle available to travel around the world in search for YOU.

My dream is to find friends; the lost souls; to meet the less fortunate; the hungry; the underfed; the forgotten; and all those rejected by human society: to share with them the hope that is in me; and to be a humble instrument of my Great God, to announce that there is something beautiful and wonderful in store for them who were neglected by this present world! (Luke14:13-14)

“But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.” Amen.

Sincerely,

Bro. Xavier Leo S. Gumabon

he Bible contains many things hard to understand. Such understanding cannot be had by just anyone; it is a gift of God. Only the wise appointed by God to understand can have that understanding, and that understanding may lead many to be purified – in the last days. These wise men given understanding to lead many to righteousness shall be very visible – as the stars. And they can be tried if they are true through testing what they preach. Their understanding of the things of God shall prove them to be the wise men mentioned in the Bible.

II Peter 3:16 says -

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures.

The Bible itself claims there are many things in it hard to understand. However, the understanding needed to understand God’s Word does not come from University courses offering bible interpretation and exegesis. It comes from an understanding given by God as a gift. And through it, one can tell whom one should listen to for God’s word.

There are verses in the Bible that will give us hint or clue or lead as to whom we should listen to about the word of God.

Dan. 12: 9 says, “Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” This is a prophecy that was written during the time of Daniel the prophet. God said unto him that the words he wrote are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

In Dan. 12:10, “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”

Part of that prophecy tells about the wise. According to the Lord, none of the wicked shall understand. The book of the prophecy of Daniel says the Word of God is sealed, but at the time of the end, many shall be purified and made white, and tried. And these people who will be purified and made white, and tried can only be purified if understanding will come forth.

Dan. 12:3 says, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.” The wise shall turn people unto righteousness; they shall be as stars forever and ever. They that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament. The prophecy equally speaks that if there are evil people in the last days or at the time of the end prophesied by the prophet Daniel, these wise people shall turn these people to righteousness.

Surely, the prophecy will be fulfilled that many shall be tried, purified and made white by God’s way when these wise will shine. They will shine as the firmament of heaven; they will be known; they will be seen by people; they will be noticed. The Bible tells us, they will shine as the brightness of the firmament.

You cannot hide these people who are prophesied by the Bible to be wise. There are stars in the heavens that are not easily noticeable but to a curious observer they are readily detected. In the case of the prophesied wise men, there maybe those who will not notice them but to a concerned student of the Scriptures they are easily discernible. They will be instrumental in purifying and cleaning and trying these people who shall be made white.

Amongst the wicked, there will be chosen people who will be purified, made white and tried. And these people will be lead by the wise.

The wise shall understand the sealed books of the Prophecy or of the Bible. They who understand the sealed books of the prophecy will have understanding that is God-given. This understanding cannot be attained by a person by his own power and might. It must be a gift of God to understand the Scriptures as our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 19:11, “But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.” So, it is a gift of God to have understanding about His words. It is a gift to a group of people whom God has chosen.

In Mark 4:11-12 – “And He said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand”

There are those people who do see but who cannot perceive. They may hear but in hearing they do not understand. So, to understand the Scriptures is something that is noteworthy.

If you see a man or a group of people who understands the Scriptures, it means something extraordinary. They are the prophesied wise in the Scriptures. And look at our dispensation this time, if you believe that this is the time of the end, the last days prophesied by the Scriptures, there are those who are called in the Bible as wise, they shall understand.

You can see how they speak, how they read the Scriptures. You can perceive if they really understand, if they have understanding. It’s up for the people to hear them, to prove them all, to examine them all, if they have understanding.

Listen to every preacher, allegedly preaching the Gospel or the words of God and you will come to that understanding that really there are those who are wicked who do not understand the words of God, but there are those who are wise.

And it can be attained if we follow the admonition of the disciple John. In 1 John 4:1, he said, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

So, even in the midst of false prophets in the world today, you can find spirits that are of God. There are preachers who are sent by God. That’s why the admonition goes, “believe not every spirit, but try them”

Why should you try the spirits? Because there are really those who are of God. You have to put them into test or to try them because there are so many false prophets that are gone out into the world. Chances are, you may be listening or may be following one of these false prophets and false christs that are gone out into the world in our days.

So, you have to try first, put them to test. The spirit of God will be able and willing to guide you in understanding which these preachers really preach the truth.

Listen to everyone that preaches the word of God. And by listening to each and every one of them, you will come to that discernment that really there are false preachers. But by God’s will you will come to the knowledge of the truth by hearing one of those prophesied wise in the book of Daniel. Remember, the wise have understanding of the word of God. And their understanding will speak for them if they are the real preachers of the truth.
